I swear something weird happened. Humour was so rich 10+ years ago. TV was really pushing the line even for me. Simon Cowell used to make the contestants cry with some pretty horrible comments, the rock would call women trash whores and would show them to a "dumpster for where they belong", every show had some crazy offensive **** in it (making crazy digs at black guys/disabled guys or whatever), leaked 2000s celebrity texts/emails were hilariously offensive, fitness articles were always bashing fat guys/women in the funniest of ways. The jokes were hardcore amongst regular people. Nicknames were like chinky mike, ben dover and fatass etc. The local store was the paki shop. Everyone called each other gay and a ***got or a milf/minge. Guys would punch each other on the arm and burst out laughing. All just really dumb stuff that nobody gave a **** about.

The guys doing all of the above were aged 5-30 lol. My friends, parents friends and their kids, random people on holidays etc, I swear we were all on the same wavelength of talking funny dumb stuff. Some people were post grads/crazy rich and making women kitchen jokes/stupid remarks in front of us. The reaction it would get at most would be, "shut up man". Followed up by some epic comeback.

Fast forward to now and muscled up "guys" are wimps afraid to call someone a woman cos its a guy, let alone any gay/fat jokes. Jokes are just sharing some stale post for about 13 hours a day. That's it?

Jokes between groups of guys is just awkward silence.


Stuff is weird. I don't get how this happened. Nobody was serious about the offensive stuff before hence why it was awesome to run your mouth talking nonsense.

However, ever since Covid crisis came into play, people discouraged sense of humor as the entire mood in the air was sad and serious.

That 2nd part is something to think about. I always see these mountains of depressed posts online and there's never a correlation to corona though, I would've thought that the millions of deaths would play a part in people being sad.

One this that bugged me is what happened to the gym scene. After 2019 is was anyways terrible, post 2020ish and every other clown is in there. I'd never get a pump from the crap at the gym now. 1 second of looking at Ronnie Coleman/Rambo/the 2000s gym floor and I'm beyond pumped, it was ridiculously cool before.

Literally 12 years ago there was this guy who was adamant that everyone was a "gay paki bastard chink". That's all he would say, he was like 20. No mental issues, just a clown who just ran his mouth a lot. Nobody gave a **** and everyone just looked at him and laughed. Laughed with him becuase he was everywhere and had a smile on his face. Now he works in an office job and I think he's doing fine with a family.

Woah, couldn't agree more with that. Since 2010 the lifting scene is ****. Guys at the gym just scroll on their phones, recording, being awkward, doing nothing and dressing all the same like wimps. Take a step back and really look at how pathetic the gym floor looks. Compare that to the Jay Cutler/Frank Zane/Greg Plitt etc era of men, the gym floor looked insane. What happened I swear.

I was very bored in 2010, then I started going to bars and clubs and I would often drink myself to sleep and I was happy and enjoying life. Covid came and everything closed, after that it's been boring+stale+sad for me.

I was working very hard in life and drinking alcohol especially beer regularly. After that my parents forced me into marriage and I had to stop drinking.

I feel too old and tired to repeat my 20's fun lifestyle anyways.

It's all over and not fun anymore.. stuff like playing video games, going to gym, watching movies, going to bars and clubs and drinking alcohol.

Well to me that sounds like a good life. You said u had a good time in an amazing era. I would dream of living that life. Hitting the gym/clubs back when everyone was stable/culture was rich.

You were forced into marriage? What kind of culture is that? My family was pretty extreme with religion, but I grew up in UK and didn't follow any of it. When I meet up with family who stayed in the religious area, they're all confused at why I show up in a vest with traps/biceps whilst everyone else is heavily cultured in these religious outfits haha.

Yeah I'm like that now. I don't really see the point anymore despite being as outgoing as possible. I feel like I've already done everything, culture seems go be taking a weird step backwards and everyone is just on phones.
