I imagine that the engineers know what they are doing but making the robots be bipedal seems gimmicky instead of utilitarian.

You don't see the advantages of bipedal locomotion vs. wheels or tracks?

Half the vids these clowns put out are just CGI. None of these robots can be mass produced because they're too expensive and battery life is like 20 minutes. And even if they could, they're still useless until someone creates intelligent AI so these things can build themselves.

As means of being able to complete multiple diverse tasks, no.

Assuming if they are knocked down, they cannot get back up on their own.
