if you ever want existential crisis ...

Go buy a coin from at least the 1800s and hold it in your hand. It sounds stupid but its important to actually buy it and hold it. For it to be YOUR possession.

Then realize your probably at least the 3rd 'owner'. Its then you realize you never actually own anything. You temporarily take possession then you die. Your most prized object ... It's only yours ... for now.

You can conceptualize this without holding the coin. But I promise you it hits WAY harder if you do. Its not the same.

Pretty based not gonna lie.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.
