Why do some folks still struggle to understand that hardwood flooring is for losers?

Anytime I meet an individual who speaks the praise of hardwood floors, they're always a jackass, fellas. Total fools. Delusional, uppity, peckerwoods trying to be pinky-out-high-class while slurping down coffee through their crooked, brown-stained teeth & scratching their fat asses when they think no one's looking. Really, is there any bigger indicator of a complete buffoon? That undying admiration for cold, uncomfortable hardwood floors? Come on now, who the hell wants hardwood flooring in their house? Maybe for an indoor basketball court, but not in a living room. Not in a bedroom. Good Lord. You can't even sit on the floor and relax. No padding, no friction....you're sliding all around, there's lint in every corner even after you just swept. Its a terrible way to live. An awful existence.

Understand, I've lived in several crappy apartments over the years. I've lived in several crappy apartments and every single one of them had hardwood floors. You know why? You boys know why they had hardwood floors?? Because low class folks are nasty. They're disgusting, fat slobs with a lot of bastard children and they smoke a lot of cigarettes and live a very slovenly lifestyle. They don't deserve carpet. They're not worthy of such a luxury. They get hardwood floors. And you boys know how I know that carpet is vastly superior to hardwood? Because even the most avid hardwood aficionado will still slap down a massive rug right in the middle of their precious hardwood paradise. That's how I know. They cover their piece of **** hardwood floor with a rug. When have you fellas ever seen the opposite of that....? Huh? When have you boys ever seen anyone laying down a big slab of wood smack dab in the middle of their fine carpeted living room.....? Never. Not once I bet. You'd have to be some kind of loon to do that sort of thing.

Maybe at one time, hardwood was classy. I don't know, probably not. But lets just say it was at one point. Guess what? ...It's not anymore. Every subsidized-housing building in the country has hardwood floors. The whoriest of welfare queens drags her filthy, dirt-caked feet across cold hardwood every time she returns home from her KFC run with a stale creampie up her crusty pussy. And some people still hold hardwood floors in high regard? Laughable. Absolutely laughable. Reminds me of what happened to Tommy Hilfiger clothes twenty years back. Every piece of **** hanging outside the convenient store, sipping booze out a bag, is sporting a Tommy shirt; still believing it to be some kind of status symbol. Those degenerates didn't posses the intellectual capacity to understand that Hilfiger had become synonymous with the bottom feeders of society. Hardwood floors have met that same fate.

Residential hardwood flooring will always be inferior to carpeting. Always!

OP having a melt down.

Yes, I think that hardwoods are overrated. I have hardwoods in the living areas and carpet in the bedrooms.

I love hardwood flooring and wouldn't give it up for anything. Almost everything you said is true. They are less comfortable, but they're also much cleaner. Rugs collect dust, dirt, dead skin etc etc. I sweep my hardowood floors everyday and there's no way I'd be comfortable knowing that chit is in my carpet. I place a carpet only at the entrance inside the house.

Hardwood flooring is simply superior and last for decades. The hardwood floor you think of in apartments are simply old ass flooring. New hardwood floors look majestic.

Carpet is for plebs

True people of style and money have actual flooring of different varieties

The entry way should be marble flooring and hardwood accents such rooms as your smoking/drinking room or where your leather furniture is

Having a flat surface allows for nice rugs from other countries to lay and accent the space

Perma carpet all over absorbs smells, conceals hairs and crumbs, and looks dumb to have a rug on aka a carpet on top of a carpet

All those things are for poor people as it hides their lifestyle and pretending they have a rug except it’s all over and poverty

Kitchen should be tile along with your bathroom. Such proper floors also allows for them to be heated from underneath built in style which is also a luxury higher status people have …ever hear of heated carpet floors ? Fuk no

Take your motel 8 perma carpet floors and continue your delusions

True hardwood flooring not faux style practically particle board and same applies to tiles not fake ass linoleum with tile patterns designed on it to fake people out

Rugs only get filthy if the owner is filthy. If you enjoy wearing shoes around the house, stepping in dog coil, then roaming around your bedroom, yeah then maybe you're a hardwood guy. Understand, dust, dead skin...it all sits on the surface of the carpet. It weighs nothing. You clean that with a vacuum, my friend. You're sweeping up everyday like goddamn Mary Poppins and don't even get to experience the comforts of carpeting? You think that's a good way to live?

wrong. Just ded wrong.

let me show you how clean you really are. When you come home from an outing, do you wash your feet and scrub all the dead skin off? Do you even do that in a regular shower? I doubt it. Your feet when its wet, has loose layers of dead skin that will drive itself into the rug fibers. This is the same principle of collar stains . Skin cells and dirt doesn't always sit on top.

Also don't get me wrong. I love carpets and the benefits. Its good to use both. But I can live without carpet if I had to.

Getting the rug professionally cleaned every month might clean the rug, but I prefer to have prestine floors everyday by simply sweeping.

My house is all except for the bathroom and kitchen which is fake hardwood linoleum. I think ideal would be hardwood everywhere except for bedrooms. Nothing beats a thick carpet with 15mm underlay

I usually wear socks. My toes tend to get nippy pretty easily. As I said, if you're a disgusting slob, you really need to have hardwood floors. I agree with you on that. All those milk spills, urine, dog excrement, crack smoke....it really takes a toll on carpeting. There's no doubt that the road to Hell is uncarpeted.

Guarantee your couch & mattress are at least two-hundred times more disgusting than the average man's living room carpet. .... Or do you sleep on a hardwood mattress? You plopping your hairy anus down on a nice hardwood love seat every evening? Is that how you do it?

You're a big masturbator as well, right? Listen, don't talk to me about "disgusting." I bet you're shooting that goop all over the house.

Marble is porous. It's a shytty floor material. Porcelain for bathrooms and kitchens, laminate for everywhere else. Hardwood is nice but not resistant enough.

Unfortunately if you have any living being under your roof other than yourself, meaning pets wives or children, carpet is an idiotic choice.

A single, high value male could pull off a carpeted living room. But at that point, style > function and authentic hardwood flooring is masculine.

Stamped/stained concrete is actually pretty common in Texas also, but it gets cold

If you have a carpeted house, know this carpet bragger...

There is still dirt hidden deep in that carpet from the day it was installed and every day after that. Your house will never be truly clean.
