Just spent $75.00 on a basic dental cleaning this morning (srs)

Took less than 5 minutes (waited in waiting room for almost 30 minutes). Legit did nothing except have some air blowing on my gums and teeth. I feel like a rigorous brushing for that amount of time would've done more. Feels bad man

Some dentists do bull **** cleanings. However some cleanings take less time than others. Do you have overall good oral hygiene?

We get a free cleaning every so many months with our insurance.

Tho it’s $179 a visit for nitrous oxide every time we take one of the kids for any kind of dental work, even cleaning. That can get expensive.

You mean to tell me they saw healthy gums & decided to just use water or air

Go back & tell them to bust out the scaler; everyone has plaque build up unless they get cleanings every 3 weeks like Hollyweird stars

This OP^. You got scammed. Ingo at least twice a year (included in insurance) and they usually take about 30-45 minutes to do it. They use a descaler and sometimes will even show me large plaque pieces. Then they polish with what sounds like a dremel tool front and back of all teeth and tops of molars. Then they use like a thick floss. Then the actual dentist comes by for 5 minutes and asks if i have any issues or concerns and takes a look and pokes around a with a pick.

I would ask for a refund or complain. Check dude’s Yelp reviews.

Always been my experience; scaler followed by floss then polishing compound
