Multiple companies battle fire at egg farm in Bozrah

BOZRAH, Conn. — Fire crews responded to a massive three-alarm fire at an egg farm in Bozrah on Saturday afternoon.

Bozrah Volunteer Fire Co. said that at approximately 1:08 p.m., they were dispatched to Hillandale Farms at 17 Schwartz Road for a possible fire involving a chicken coop. The first unit was on scene at 1:16 pm and confirmed a working fire in a 50’ x 600’ operating coop.

After approximately 4.5 hours with the help of 16 surrounding departments and more than 100 firefighters, the fire was brought under control with no injuries to any civilians or firefighters.

The fire is now under investigation by the Town of Bozrah Fire Marshal.

The Norwich Firefighters Local 892 posted a video of the scene on ******** and said that they were also on the scene of the three-alarm chicken coop fire.

I doubt anyone picks up on it. Most people I talk to or casually have convos with are so soaked up in social media that they don't know what is going on.

Just had a convo with some folks yesterday who had no idea why egg prices were high. They were oblivious to the fires and just thought they were making major profits.
