unsolicited advice

So I was talking with someone and we got to talking about our relationships. He is single and 'plays the field' while I'm married for 11 years been together for 13. Upon hearing the time i've been with the same person, they kept advising me to let it go and try out other alternative-style relationships. Some people just don't understand contentment, and being happy. Rant over now.
