NAC - who's taking it

Started 30-days ago. 600mg a day.

Usually pretty skeptical of supplements, but I have to say, never fully recovered from the big C in November so wanted to give something a try.
This finally got me from 95% back to 100%, and I have yet to get any other colds while the rest of my family has. Lungs and fluid have finally cleared up. Have yet to have a lifting day where I felt depleted (maybe just from clearing out everything else).

Anecdotal? Anybody else taking NAC frequently?

I take it everyday and I’m prescribed vitamin d3, wife recently had Covid but I never got sick.

Also take zinc, vitamin c and mushroom capsules.

I bought like 10 bottles when they were discontinuing it.

NAC is a life changer. I had a lingering cough for an entire month that wouldn't go away, and NAC had it go away in less than 2 days. I haven't stopped taking it since and I feel strong as an ox. (Super Ded fkn Srs)

I've been taking it for a month or two now. I haven't noticed any difference but then again I wasn't experiencing anything beforehand so lol

This is the hard thing right...all these supplement claims in the industry kill any ability to verify anything.

I'm using the NOW FOODS from Amazon. 100x 600mg for $13. its so cheap I'll just keep a low dose daily for some time. If I stop getting sick after about 6-months of use, that would be pretty conclusive, so I am always getting cold symptoms now kids are back at school in-person and donating their germs around.

Didn’t it help with c19 so they came up with some BS reasoning to ban it by saying that some hangover cures which contained NAC purported to “cure,” which is impermissible? So then they just banned NAC instead of coming down on the hangover blends. That’s my recollection.

Have taken NAC, can't remember other names of similar supps.

One called Glisodin.

I've been taking 1,000mg per day for a couple years now. Read that it was a good supplement to take during the pandemic. My wife got Covid, I didn't. Haven't been sick at all for a number of years.

I also take 500mg Quercetin, 500mg C, and a multi. Also, I'm 64 y.o.

been taking NAC from bulk supplements for over a year now and i really like it. lot of research about nac and cancer prevention too

I bought it when everyone was talking about how it would help with Covid. Gave it to my son when he had Covid last winter and I've been taking it daily this winter to hopefully help prevent illness.

Similar here. I had been taking Nutricost caps and had similar experiences until maybe 2-3 months ago when it came back to Amazon. Ever since then it seems like Nutricost quality tanked. Switched to Now brand tabs and it's night and day difference.

NAC is legit and it helps with immune function and I've heard nothing but good things about it... I already take a multi, VitD3 +vit K, krill oil, vit C but might add this too if it won't be too much

I would drop the multi. Real world studies show it has little to no benefit. Longevity studies show most vitamins have zero effect on how long you live.

Cod liver oil (maybe krill idk) already has vit D and eat natto for vit K. If you're taking vit C it needs to be through an IV or you're literally pissing it away. Or take lipo****l liquid drops.
