really depends on height/weight
at 200+lbs it becomes an exercise that is a high risk for the shoulders compared to the reward, rather just deadlift

I used to be able to do exactly 1 muscle up. Its my goal to be able to rack out a handful. No cons to speak of, just pure unadulterated cope.

Most do momentum up. That's not really using purely muscle. It's technique.
I think it is possible for me to learn slow muscle up on rings. On a bar, not sure but am sure can do it clean, but will still require a hard pull at the bottom. The difference between on rings vs on bar is the transition. You can turn the rings.
For body building or pulling/pushing strength? I think you are better off just doing pull ups and dips where you don't use technique.......you use muscles.
I have never tried to muscle up. Working on planche and got full front lever (improving it).

Benefits:
Upper Body Strength: Targets the muscles of the back, shoulders, chest, and arms, building impressive upper body strength and muscle definition.
Core Stability: Requires significant core engagement to maintain control and stability throughout the movement.
Functional Fitness: Mimics real-world movements like climbing and pulling oneself up over obstacles, making it a valuable skill for overall fitness and athleticism.
Cons:
As stated above, it is mostly a momentum/technique movement. Of course you need strength but everyone who can do a couple of pull-ups can do muscle ups with some technique training.
