Played the Zelda game on my switch but only made it a few hours before getting bored of it. This trailer shows the same dry and boring world it seems.

Just not my cup of tea. Don't think I will ever pick up the switch again.

$70 price tag confirmed as well. While I enjoyed BotW, I never really played it that long, and there was a lot of things I didn't like about it. I mean I probably would have bought this sequel just to have it, but if they're gonna be dicks and try to charge an extra $10 I am gonna tell them to phuck right off, games at that price range have gotta be something that I really want to play.

Is it going to use a game engine other than the one used in BOTW?

How do we know they are going to release upgraded Nintendo Switch hardware?

If they are, it should make the BOTW run better, anyway, since it does not actually do a proper 720p, but upscales 480 or some crap.

This didn't do it for me. Looks way too much like the first game. Just not excited by this at all, it'll be a good game but maybe nothing extraordinary like the last one

Agreed. Was really looking forward to this but that trailer killed a bunch of hype for me. Looks like some DLC for the first game. Six years for this?

This makes no sense. Every single 3D Zelda is a very different experience. They aren’t Ubisoft recycle games. Even OOT and mm that use the same exact graphics and character designs are entirely different

I'll get it and play it eventually but really not that excited

it used to be different when a new Zelda dropped but the open world kinda tempered my excitement (inb4 ****inator)

what the price point is concerned imo it's pretty unfair to look at things like resolution and chit

it's limited because of the poverty specs the Switch has but the work that has to be put in stays the same compared to A+ titles on PS5 and Series X and in that regard it seems like a substantial game

so I'd understand the increase (don't get me wrong nobody likes to pay more but it is what it is on the market)

its because the first game was great because of the exploration but its not really exciting to explore the same world again. so whats the draw here?

the art style is absolutely terrible.
maybe because i just played horizon on pc with my qd oled, but some of these scenes are blinding my eyes with the cell shading with way too much brightness, other stuff like the grass looks so washed out and just terrible.
I remember BOTW looking much more pleasing to the eyes, maybe it's been too long and i cant remember.

Like some of that was a complete joke, hey look out from the top of this mountain... look out into the distance, notice that the draw distance sucks and we hide everything with fog so you actually cant see anything! so bad

im sure if/when i play the game it will be fine and ill just focus more on the gameplay, but this franchise is getting ruined on terrible hardware

Scarlet Nexus on PS5 uses the same art style but it actually looks good because it has the high resolution rendering and anti-aliasing.

If Zelda had that level of fidelity..... hhhhhnnnnnnggg. But unfortunately, nintendo fans will forever accept mediocrity

Saying Nintendo is mediocre because they aren’t pushing out a successor as quickly as you want, and saying stronger hardware would be good are two separate items.

I can wish for stronger hardware, while at the same time realizing the switch isn’t even at its 6 year mark yet, and it may be a year or so too soon to expect stronger hardware

It's extra pissening because the Switch is better suited to 2D Zeldas anyways but now they don't feel the need to make them after abandoning dedicated handhelds.
