Illinois in Chicago suburbs. I like the land, the people for the most part, and the 4 seasons we have. I cannot stand the politics, taxes, or general public systems. Our entire state is broken beyond comprehension.

Then mix in the crime bleeding out from Chicago and that's why most people are clocking out of this state. Almost all of my friends have moved. However, all of my family is here so I would rather not move because of that.

do i like where i live- yes (brb little if any crime, lots of home equity gain, etc)
is it out on an island so to speak- also yes (favorite gym/area is about 30mins away, not a lot to do in my small town)
where- somewhere in the US abt 1hr from the mountains

wood rather work remote and have-
- a small place in alaska
- a small place in ohio
- a small place in nashville
- a small place here where i be

and be able to hop from one place to the next. but am not on dat der WFH life, yet.

I live in a smalltown just above San Diego called Fallbrook. I love it here. One of the last Conservative towns around, has a small town everyone knows you (for the most part) feeling to it, but you neighbor two bigger cities..Temecula and San Diego. My wife has had her own business here for 15 yrs, and I've had my own business for 3 yrs. We have land, good weather, friendly people, and great places to shop and eat.
I also own a cabin in Big Bear, which is a ski resort town up in the mountains..

Tampa area of Florida. Absolutely hate it. Way too crowded. It's gotten insane in the past couple years. Almost unlivable and the weather sucks. Too hot 90% of the year.

Coldcel in a liberal blue cucked state. I love this place in the spring/summer/fall, but a good 4+ months of the year is absolute dogchit unless you love outdoor winter activities with a passion. I can overlook the winter as annoying as it is, but I'm fukkking sick of the liberal politics here. I'd seriously move to Florida if I weren't stuck here for reasons beyond my control at this point, but it is what it is. I'm envious af of people who have been/are able to make the move, srs.

I'm in New Zealand. Like anywhere there's pros and cons but overall I like it.

This summer has been a bit of a bummer though, but hey at least I'm getting a bit of sun today and yesterday before the cyclone comes in.
