Also, for anyone in industry, does the company always require a doc's SSN in order to process a credit check? I come from Banking, and that was a huge red flag of the process.

I am a chad and wildly charismatic, but the problem is I find this trait endearing in social settings, and sleazy in transactional settings.

I have a financial sales background.

Don't they mostly hire sloots?

I have a friend who just a normal clean cut guy making like $250k in medical sales. He is kind of an a-hole, seems to be a requirement for that type of job.

Enjoy being on call and having to deal with Doctor egos. Like others have said it’s mostly sloots or ex D1 Athlete Chads that fill these roles. But I’m sure you can earn a fuk ton of money

You need medical background to be credible. Even 20/10 charisma chad will get his head chewed off by OR staff if he doesnt have any experience.

There are so many variable to consider. It really depends on the company, the product(s) you are selling, your compensation package, etc.
Will you be selling to established customers? All cold calls? If you get in the right situation you can make absolute bank while also having the time of your life.
On the other hand, some medical sales are absolutely miserable.

My wife was a territory manager in Med device sales. Depending on the type of equipment you sell, your life will vary quite a bit. Some are very involved in the OR so you are juggling schedules for surgeries on top of outreach and training staff on the equipment. Others are not involved in the OR as much so you are more free to do the "sales" side of it. My wife 'covered cases' often even when the staff was trained in order to show presence as much as possible. Its a game, in a way, to be likable and to be a supportive rep for your product because even if the product is amazing, if you can't train the staff and be a trustworthy rep (sometimes they'll call you in a pinch if you aren't there to help solve a problem) then they'll get rid of you for the other rep who is trying to sell their product right beneath you. If they're happy with BOTH the product and you as the rep, you'll likely stick around somewhere for a while barring any major financial constraints for the hospital or surgery center.

Again, varies widely depending on type of product. Think capital vs. disposable income. You will make money on disposables for each surgery, even if you weren't there, but you gotta get the product sold and in there first to create that more "passive" income. If you leave them alone for too long, they'll think you don't support them as much anymore and another rep will slide right in.

Everyone I know that works in medical sales are good looking females are. Would they even hire you lmaoooo

True about OR. Debating going into it in a few years for a change of scenery.

Got hired, worked one week, realized everyone was a literal piece of shyt and opted out of my contract.

I'm a former d1 guy myself, and was proven successful in that week, but could not manage the personalities I was interacting with. It was sad, honestly. Felt like all the dudes had zero lives outside of sports, so when sports ended they needed to fill a void and they chose sales/pursuit of cash.

Flexing about cheating on wives/girlfriends, slamming 2 bang energies an adderal and 2 juul pods a day while cold calling from the car.

Plus the product they all made such a killing on wasn't going to be available for me to sell, I was making 3% on a product half the price with half the market size. Didn't make any sense.

A couple hundred K is not worth the psychosis level and brainwashing, I do just fine making 150k, didn't need to sell my soul to make 250k when I could just work 2 more years to VP and make that money with my feet up.

Damn dude, sorry to hear about your experience. Sounds like you were on a bad team.
