Rate Wed night soup/10

Tonight I made a slow cooker tomato and cheddar soup. Cooked up some chicken nuggets for protein and made grilled cheese to order, (for the peeps who needed grilled cheese with their soup.)

Enjoy your night everyone!

I was never a fan of tomato soup growing up.

When i ate cooked foods, my favorite soups were split pea soup and butternut squash.

Damn im craving both right now actually.

I had crackers for anyone who wanted them. I used my garlic bread stick for dipping so I'm good.

I've never made this before and I can't say I'm well versed when it comes to tomatoes. I used Tuttorasso crushed tomatoes for this dish.

Oh those aren't bad, either. Especially with the basil.

I did the ones with basil and no salt. I added my own seasonings for more flavor was good. I used a sharp cheddar and heavy cream which I guess would be considered more a tomato bisque...not so much a soup.

Bisque is next on my soup list. Have to make all the soup before it's summer again.

Yeah it's getting warm so I can't make many more soups. We're supposed to have a cold weekend. I'm going to make a final roasted pumpkin soup this weekend and call it quits lol...
