Back in 08 a friend of mine and I decided to see how long we could stay awake during our winter break in high school.

I managed about 3 days w/o sleep and had to call it there - began to hear things, slightly saw things that were not there and I just couldn't take the physical toll anymore.

Friend managed 4.5 days.

Trip to NZ in 2001. I didn't work it out on a calculator or anything, but it was around 35 hours without sleep. I didn't sleep at all on flight over.

But when I did sleep it was epic. I remember semi-waking at various times and it was a different time of day or night. Kinda reminded me of that super sped up scene in Blade movie where it goes from day to night in a few seconds.

Around 40 hrs or so (if you count coffee as a stim). When I was younger, I could do it NP. Now? If I am tired, I sleep. I get random bouts of insomnia and often only sleep at 3 hr stretches or so.

Frosh week university one year I was in charge of a big group of leaders so was on call and had major stuff to organize. First night I stayed up all night I didn't even think about it, and then the following night was a party called "no sleep 'til breakfast" which of course meant you had to stay up all night again. Stayed up that night too. Combination of partying and supervising but mostly alcohol free until the second night.

So over two days without sleep, I think I was at 56 hours and we went for breakfast after that party and I literally passed out asleep in my eggs. Like faceplant. Went home and slept for two hours, then had to get up and do more. Got sick as a dog when it was all done but man was it ever a blast.

I have heard from so many people about they start tripping and seeing things after a while. But it sounds more scary and confusing than "oh wow...look at that beautiful flying pony...I love this"

I did 2 days 28th to 32nd hour and wrote something that got me 88, honestly would've failed it. Thank god for stims.

and the crazy thing is that even at the 11th hour, it made the research enjoyable.

I used to do all-nighters every week in grad school. I could do about 40 hours awake at a stretch. From there, I could fall asleep ANYWHERE and be out for 12 hours. I'd often fall ask on my living room couch with the lights on.

About a week ago, I went without sleep for 3 days recently while dietmaxxing, but I never hallucinated or chit. I think laying down in a dark room andtryingto sleep keeps more charge on your battery than staying up writing school papers and chit.

Around 36 hours or so. Was cramming for finals. I had like a dozen energy drinks. I'm convinced no one can be up much longer than that without either a ton of stim drugs or one hell of a case of insomia.

If regular caffeine is considered without.

I worked 157 hrs in 10 days during hurricane Irma.

Including a 40hr straight session 30plus hrs without food.

Left Raleigh at 330pm got to a sand mine the next morning at 7am so that was 24hrs then filled sandbags and hauled them 2vhrs away and placed them around cell tower sites rinse repeat till 9 pm.

Then Slept 6 hrs and worked 15 doing same thing almost hit by tornado and earlier almost blown off bridge over St John's River.

Then Slept 6 hrs and then the 40 hr straight started.

So that's 12 hrs sleep in 91hrs

Anyone who has been n the military can attest to the fact that its one of the few jobs that will keep up up 24 hours and then wonder why you act tired.
"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

Used to go 24+ hours or so on a regular basis back when I was really into poker. Think the longest was 35-40 hours trying to learn an entire semester of statistics before a final exam. Felt so paranoid and disassociated going to class. I don't see myself ever willingly going more than 20 hours again.

like 22 hours when i was 17. i woke up at 12am, went to school 6 hours later, and didnt go back to sleep until around 10:30pm. not a very brutal experience since i could just zone out at my desk.

what really sucked was when i was working the night shift at a supermarket, and i woke up at 9am and went into work 12 hours later 9pm. finally got to go home at 5am and i could barely fuking function. feels good being on that dayshift white-collar time now.

I pulled a bit over 40 hours once in college. No stims.

At around 30 hours, a weird but subtle lucid dreaming feeling set in and so I knew I was completely sleep deprived, but I wasn't particularly exhausted or sleepy or anything.
