WWYD: Can’t communicate with person making your burger/sub at fast food place?

I knew it was going to be bad when I had to ask for lettuce 3 times at the start of the process.

First burger was ruined due to so many mistakes / having it dropped on the counter, so they made a new one.

Just gave up and took the replacement burger completely plain with nothing on it. Also had to repeat that request 4 or 5 times. Was gross.

I tried to be polite about it, but I was getting agitated and it probably came across that way.

I feel a bit guilty, as it might have been the person’s first day. But I am paying to eat there, and shouldn’t have to deal with an employee who doesn’t know what lettuce is.

What would you do, misc? Did I handle it wrong.

As long as I wasn’t allergic to something I’d probably just eat it. Too many other things in life to worry about

I’m not eating mystery sauce that I didn’t ask for, and I’m not paying for a burger that’s been dropped on the dirty counter.

I usually like eating there. This was an isolated incident.

Last person I dealt with was also on his first day, but he got the hang of things.

If I saw him drop it, sure that’s one thing. But I’ve gotten a burger with mayo kn it and eaten it and mayo is trash.

It was dropped in front of me. And I can’t do mayo, man. This wasn’t mayo exactly, but it was some equally gross-looking sauce.

I was going to just take the tomato off (which had most of the sauce on it) and just eat the burger anyway. But that’s when it was dropped.
