What is your biggest regret? [SRS]
Mine?
In graduate school, a friend of mine from Dusseldorf was rolling a cigarette in the lab. I asked him "What's that like anyway?" and he said "want to have one?" I said: sure.
I thought in my mind that I'd cough like crazy, that it'd be disgusting, you know - the expected reaction. But when I lit the ciggy up outside the lab, from the first drag I loved it.
I was 27.
I think back, 15 years ago, and wish I had never tried that cigarette. Might sound like a very minor regret to you guys, but it's the biggest regret I can think of right now.
What's yours?

Going on a “healthy diet” over the span of just 3 months from a naturally lean starting weight of 170 lbs that resulted in me being hospitalized with anorexia, dropping to literally 0 ng/dl of test, losing all muscle mass, nearly dying from cardiac arrest. It also left a lifelong impact on my relationship with food. I’d also add being in a string of relationships with BPD girls (including & especially the one who helped push me into my diet), putting up with abuse & adhering to insanely high standards from my parents my whole childhood, never admitting I thought I had AIDS from being molested to anyone til I was almost an adult, getting addicted to cigs/alch, getting addicted to flavored drinks to the point I lost my adult teeth, getting a useless degree, & agreeing to a parentally-imposed “mental health” protocol that included taking supratherepeutic doses of Prozac from ages 14-18. I lost all ability to orgasm, had nearly 0 emotions, & delayed my puberty from it.
I have a lot of fuking regrets.

Probably drinking so much, waste a lot of time doing nothing. I do love that liquor though.

Drinking/alcoholism is one thing I could never get behind. Were you guys drinking to get wasted, or do you mean buying fine bottles of whisky etc. and enjoying those?

I gave in to despair and did literally nothing but sit on a couch and browse the internet for years of my life after college. I've made a lot of strides since then but the reality is you never get back the time you wasted.
That's the biggest regret. The second biggest is probably not taking full advantage of my time in college. This regret lead into the second one.
But honestly, I have a lot of other big regrets too.

Cut way back the last few months but 1-2 bottles a week if I have nothing going on; racing to see what gets me first, heart attack or stroke from work stress, or liver failure.

The deepest irony is that I regret ever having a serious girlfriend and I also regret all the 8+/10 chicks I could've sniffed. Oh well, still got time, but I do like sweets so I gotta be careful or I'll turn into one of these bloatmaxxed hinge skanks.

Honestly think that if you had a crush on a girl who died, it could have taught you to 'make your move instead of waiting'. Why take it as 'give less fukks', srs?

You’re trying to wean off an addiction by using an alternative method that pumps you with 50x the nicotine and you can smoke them pretty much anywhere.
I should have just stayed with regular cigs.
