Recommend me a good first AR-15

Budget is wide, but not unlimited.

I have a Ruger Model 8537 and it has never failed me. I drill holes with it. Really solid for a cheaper piece.

Any of them. ARs are commoditized these days (there's a very small number of vendors making the same parts for different companies), and the quality even on the low end is very good.

I bought a Delton Sport because I liked the lightweight pencil barrel. Miscers with joocier forearms than me may see that as less of a consideration.

If you have a Dunhams sports in your area, they usually have an assortment of budget options.

Colt 6920 is the gold standard for non-boutique base ARs IMO.

For me personally AR is too much work, you have to dial in your sights, maintain and clean everything, I’d prefer go with something simple like AK even thou I own an AR.
