Just bought a few acres in the country, I'm done with people

I can remember in my 20's wanting to be in "cool trendy areas" and bought a downtown condo in a pretty nice area. Walking distance to a bunch of bars, gym, trails, coffee shops etc etc etc.

But I've come to the realization that people everywhere and "living downtown" is the worst.

brb traffic
brb lines everywhere
brb people parking in my spot at home (reading not even once)
brb hear neighbors at 1 am
brb soccer moms
brb $13 for a bad drink at overrated bars
brb another rustic coffee shop with bad coffee (Mcdonalds still has large coffee for under $2)
brb zoomers everywhere on their phones
brb my dog barking 24/7 cus he isn't built for city life
brb traffic

Imagine thinking its a good idea to pay all of this extra money for "city living." Moving in a week and looking forward to a huge lawn, a woods in my back yard, and peace and quiet.

Why not move to England? Fuuuuuark if I was white thats where I'd live. England apartments are cozy AF(and you'll be around other white folks LOL)

Well, I'm American for starters.

I imagine a place like London must be horrible. Probably like LA where 99% of the people living there are coping and can't actually afford it.

You'll blend right in with the English if you don't open your mouth. Besides, if you can afford land here in the states, you shouldn't have any problem being able to buy a small house or get a nice apartment in the nicer areas in England.

The city or suburbs is just better than living in the middle of nowhere.

That's how it's supposed to be.

When you are young and working or socialising 24/7, you just need somewhere convenient to sleep and keep your stuff.

After a few years, when you have a little money saved and you start spending more time at home, thinking about a family etc you move out of the city.
Screw nature; my body will do what I DAMN WELL tell it to do!

The only dangerous thing about an exercise is the person doing it.

They had the technology to rebuild me. They made me better, stronger, faster......

Lol I'll keep that in mind if I ever decide to move to England.

I'm not really in the middle of nowhere, it's a 10 mile drive to a (different) downtown with all the generic bars and overpriced trendy-type restaurants. Far enough away that it won't bother me when I don't want it to (which is going to be >99% of the time) but can head over to meet people for dinner or w/e occasionally.

While I'm not the most well versed in housing finance, my bank lender told me that the house I am moving to will have a lower interest rate compared to what was expected (by enough to reduce my monthly payment several hundred $$) basically because I am in this area. I'm also actually happy because there's a huge cornfield across the street, which makes it far less likely that the real estate cucks will be able to drop a subdivision there any time in the foreseeable future.
