All he's saying is, if the person who abuses a kid then kills them, that's a good thing, because it means there's no need to waste money looking after a kid that has lost its innocent glow. He probably thinks euthanasia would be a good idea. Especially if he gets to watch.

3.) He’s simply saying that from a financial perspective there is a particular benefit if the child dies. Of course, there is no way to know this on a case by case basis because once the child dies there is no way to know what types of resources he would’ve required from society and what he would’ve given back to society. I don’t know the specific stats so not going too deep there, but I’m pretty sure victims of abuse are often poor and require lots of resources over their life compared to what they contribute to society. But then you have to think about the resources required to imprison the murderer for life vs the costs on that side if they can work, pay fines, etc.

He also said it’s a tragedy for the child, and I haven’t seen more than the tiny clip, but I would probably bet money that he mentions how terrible it is for others in the family as well. Something can have a benefit in one way and be terrible in other ways. Actually, there are pros and cons to basically every single thing that happens. Again he sounded terrible saying it and I’m not saying he is accurate. I’m just saying that he is not claiming “kids dying is a good thing”.

No worries, and yeah this place can be a sh!tshow on a lot of topics. I do think it’s important to not view the forum as a singular entity, or a particular “side” as a singular entity though as that probably just fuels the sh!tshowiness. But I do agree with your point about the blatant inconsistencies we see here a lot.
