Why do liberals virtue signal on social media?

I never see conservatives virtue signaling on social media.

Yet I always see liberals posting about trump, blm, lgbt, abortion, gun control, refugees welcome, trans rights, etc.

Why do they do this?

And it always seems to be white girls. Why do white girls in particular do this?

People craze acceptance, especially those who dont have any real attachments to actual social groups.

Repeating what the group is saying is a way to get that acceptance. They really arent directing their stupidity at normal people but inwards towards their groups to gain acceptance.

Just ignoring them is the best tactic. Go on about our own lives and dont pay any attention to them. Just like you probably dont watch soap operas or romantic comedies. They exist to pander to a specific audience and outside of that no one cares.

As crup said above.....many on the left are hideous creatures. Been rejected and not popular their entire life. So this is not only a way to get 'back' at the people who rejected them....but also a way to feel accepted and part of something. The issue for me is though these people just go along and say whatever just to fit in...they don't really mean it.

For example climate change. The very same people that are rah rah pro environment and climate change are against the Feds sending aid to Ohio.

Tell me that makes any sense at all?

Or the same people who are pro Ukraine war and US involvement are the same people who used to cry NO WAR and who have no idea the amount of environmental destruction happening over there.

Just complete hypocrites with no real beliefs of their own.

as said, a lot of the far left are social outcasts with minimal IRL friends but tons online, with their online friendships coming from shared or accepted political beliefs. Therefore every time they share an extreme view and show support for xyzzy, their other online friends support them and provide companionship that they lack.
