Any lifters here?

Anybody get serious tricep spasm/pump/pain when they’ve finished a set of barbell bench?

Example : finished my set today and put the bar back on the rack, the millisecond the bar went back on the rack my tris just froze and felt like there was en electric shock going through them.

The slower I let the grip of the bar go the less painful it tends to be but it’s still there even if I release the grip slowly.

Wtf is this?

It’s weird, it only happens on the bar. If I’m doing dumbbells it doesn’t happen, I always see people say not to flare your elbows out but I find that impossible to not do on the bar, I’m guessing it might be related to elbows being flared out

What i think is happening, is your bone anatomy dun goofed for the bench technique and pinches the nerve near the tricep. Just bad luck i guess
I’m going to look at adjusting my grip/arm positioning, but maybe I just have chit bone genetics if that’s the case, like I said it only ever happens on the bar/smith machine rather than dumbbells

We both know the misc doesn’t lift brah, take ratty for example, only thing he lifts is a can of Pabst blue ribbon

I don’t think it’s dehydration, I usually have 2-3 litres of water before getting to the gym anyway, as said it only happens on barbell rather than dumbbells too so it’s like it’s form based but I can’t tell what I’m doing wrong. Unless it’s what Piram has mentioned
