Any lifters here?
Anybody get serious tricep spasm/pump/pain when they’ve finished a set of barbell bench?
Example : finished my set today and put the bar back on the rack, the millisecond the bar went back on the rack my tris just froze and felt like there was en electric shock going through them.
The slower I let the grip of the bar go the less painful it tends to be but it’s still there even if I release the grip slowly.
Wtf is this?

If im dehydrated and do a hard set sometimes i get a pull, if thats what you mean.

To answer your OP: no, never experienced such a spasm. Dehydration?

What i think is happening, is your bone anatomy dun goofed for the bench technique and pinches the nerve near the tricep. Just bad luck i guess

I don’t think it’s dehydration, I usually have 2-3 litres of water before getting to the gym anyway, as said it only happens on barbell rather than dumbbells too so it’s like it’s form based but I can’t tell what I’m doing wrong. Unless it’s what Piram has mentioned
