A great grandmother of mine was from Sweden and she was known for big gatherings, picnics. When i worked on my family tree her family was one of the ones best remembered and thought of.

I have heard that from others though that Swedish people are not all that warm and friendly in general.

Swedes are actually quite friendly and open, unlike the socially TERRIFIED Norwegian and Finns (lmfao they run away when you talk to them).

But in the nordic nations, individualism is very valued. They don't like random strangers. It's kind of like Japan but nords will go OUT OF THEIR WAY to avoid people.
