Someone I listen to online recently compared the stupidity of "attacking the source of a problem" when it concerns racism and poverty with earthquakes. The "source" of earthquakes is plates shifting but we don't spend trillions trying to nail them together. Instead, we work on building houses that can withstand the shifting better. Attacking the source ain't it.
