Avalanche once broke beneath my snowboard when i was traversing a steep slope, and i sat down right on the ridge where it broke, seeing the avalanche crash down below me.

Now I'm terrified of getting buried alive in snow. If you go off-piste on anything mildly open and steep, make sure you have the gear for it.
