Christian School goes full anal: Forced to close its doors after donors pull funding

A conflict over what it means to be Christian is forcing a school in Kansas City, Missouri, to close.

Urban Christian Academy is a private, K-8 school with an enrollment of 100 that describes itself as providing "a tuition-free, high-quality, Christ-centered education for low-income students."

The school's mission statement has always stressed inclusivity in general terms, noting that following Jesus "opens up doors and makes room at the table." But last year it added a paragraph to its website, which read in part, "We are an affirming school. We stand with the LGBTQIA+ community and believe in their holiness. We celebrate the diversity of God's creation in all its varied and beautiful forms."

According to the school, that update prompted donors to stop contributing, many of them citing their interpretation of Christianity as the reason. Now, UCA has announced it will close at the end of the school year due to the loss of financial support.

Kalie Callaway-George, UCA's executive director and co-founder, said this new language "is kind of what started the backlash from our donor base, which we anticipated. It was just that we anticipated a 50% loss in funding and made adjustments for that. We had an 80% loss in funding and that was too much to overcome."

I’m calling bullsh!t on the whole “we knew we’d lose 50% of our revenue”. It’s much more likely they felt they take a small hit from supporters due to the statement but more than make up for it by an increase in revenue from clown world. It was a miscalculation and now they’re screwed. Plus, who goes “well we’re gonna lose half our income which will have a huge negative impact on students and staff but it’s worth it to write a paragraph in support of LGBTBBQ+£¥#. Not to mention, Jesus was welcoming but never celebrated sin. He took it a step further and said not only is adultery bad, but lust itself is bad. He never went “go ahead and smash your neighbor’s wife. That’s just part of who God made you as.”

honestly I don't know if that would just be naivety or stupidity on their part. why tf would they ever think they would recoup their donations? media and society as a whole look down on Christianity, and the response is to bend over, take it in the ass and hope they will be liked and accepted by society? just lol. this is why you don't ever bend over to this new religion. because the demands will never cease and they never liked you to begin with.

Funny how only a tiny minority of the public want it, the majority constantly fight back & win-despite it constantly being promoted/pushed by governments/ leftie Hollywood/entertainment industry & the media for the last 5 plus years. Also find it odd that most of those in the wrong body are men & that just putting on skirts to get access to women only areas seems to solve their issues.

Good, they are closing because they are not actual Christians. Christians are going to have to re-learn that you cant have women or jews in power, of anything - not even a lemonade stand. We have to go back to Christianity. Not post ww2 Christian-Judeo subverted Christianity - Real Christianity. That is the only solution.

You can follow the rules of Christianity and decide whether something is right or wrong. Obviously, that can’t fix every problem, but in this age, it would fix virtually every problem.

For example, if we were following Christianity, we would:

Remove women from politics and public society in general
Remove all Jews from positions of power
Seal the borders, more or less completely
Change our relationship with the truth – in Christianity, truth is the highest value and an end in itself
End censorship of the far right
End “equity” and “socialism” gibberish and promote normal concepts of justice
Remove divorce and the celebration of whores
etc. (you can fill in the blank, Christianity fixes this)
Furthermore – and most importantly – we should follow Christianity because it is true and it is the only way to save our souls.
