The Last Of Us turned out to be a good not great series

It needed more infected action and less gay story lines. I like some of the drama. Joe's and Ellie's father and daughter relationship is great. But overall, it ended up being just kind of a good season. Wish there was more of a threat when it came to the infected. So many parts of the country seemed like the outbreak isn't that much of a big deal anymore. You gotta really give the audience a reason to really still fear the danger of zombies just roaming around. I'm not interested in yet another series where it's the humans who are the biggest dangers.

7/10. Here's hoping more zombie action going forward with the series.

Agreed. I'll probably watch season two, but man I hope they cut down on the gay filler.

Everything else wouldnt have mattered if Joel and Ellie were properly cast and written

They made Joel into a submissive crying beta, while I understand that most people irl would be like him, Joel's not most people, he's a stoic southern man that has been brutally murdering people for 20 years. Idk where to even start with Ellie, she seems too cold and callous sometimes and then other times just completely aloof

Yeah they definitely used too much time showing inconsequential homo relationships at the expense of showing the infected. Funny how they didn't need to dedicate an entire episode to Joel and Tess's relationship and their backstory. I guess straight couples aren't as interesting in 2023 clown world.

I was fine with them. Had they used some of those minutes they used on a side character's gay back story on Joel and Ellie shooting and killing zombies, it would have already made the season twice as good. Seriously kind of shocked how little infected there was this season on a show about the fukking infected. Goofy as heck.

There was so many questionable decisions in this season. The David and cannibal story gets just one episode? The finale is the shortest episode of the season? Huh? Why did we need to watch an hour of two f#ggots being f#ggots but they couldn't spend more time on the conflict at the hospital. Lulz.

Yeah the finale was weak imo. The show peaked the 5th episode, which also happened to be the episode with the most infected action. Each one after that left me thinking "OK this chit will definitely pick up pace again next ep", but it never did. Left with a lot of head scratching.

It really rustled my jimmies during last night's episode was that they omitted the underground tunnel scene with all the bloaters and clickers.


It was obviously a chitty budget constraint. Series definitely didn't have enough infected in it. I don't think the last two eps even had any infected in them.

Maybe that's why it was so short. They planned a 20 minute long sequence but ended up having to cut it because they ran out of money filming queer bear town and shopping mall groomers.

Game is better than anything this guy ever played but I'd say the show is mediocre for sure. Gotta give them credit for sucking up to the LGBTQ crowd though. That independent gay film they made was horrible for the show but Godtier pandering.
