Creepy white outcast secondary character who never fits in to the main minority group

Drunk white guy is going upstairs consensually with drunk female. Drunk female's sister tries to yank drunk female away from drunk white guy. Drunk white guy pulls back on drunk female. Then drunk white male is painted as an attempted sexual predator and is promptly stopped by upstanding black man. Then drunk white man is tased in the balls by strong female lead.

3 relationships in the movie, 1 is a lesbian relationship, one is an interracial white woman black man relationship, and Hispanic secret relationship

In a movie where there were no white lead characters, they still managed to shove in enough insignificant white characters to be killed off (8 out of 9 deaths were whitey)

Of the 3 white characters that weren't simply there to be cannon fodder, all 3 happened to be the killers.

- Woke points aside, I did enjoy the new setting. Woodsboro is old and tiresome at this point.

- Hispanic lead sisters have good chemistry

- Dialogue is unnatural and cringe

- Support characters are flat and have dense personalities for the most part. The female support character is annoying and always having a monologue of cringe dialogue. Black brah support character is fine, just doesn't really stand out.

- 2 extreme death over the top death fake outs - black brah is stabbed literally 30 times in the chest/ abdomen by 2 of the killers, and he survives. Black lesbian is stabbed several times deep into the abdomen. 2 scenes later she's dancing around the ambulance as if nothing happened

- Idiot white killer cop has a gun, but instead allows Hispanic lead to charge him from afar without using it. It's only as he's being tackled that he shoots off a round that obviously missed.

- Numerous "I'm shooting many bullets and finally have the killer dead to rights...ooops, I pulled the trigger and I'm out of bullets"



If you enjoy white man bad, I highly recommend this movie.

It isn't really the race baiting that's that's the issue with the movie it's the ridiculous cartoonish attitude they have towards stab wounds. I guess getting stabbed isn't that big of a deal in this universe. I also thought that New York doesn't really play any role in this film. There's also some illogical sh!t. Mostly, it just looks like they're following the same writing formula of the Saw and Fast & Furious films.

I don't get the point of having the white guy be bad and black not be killers/robbers. Everyone in the world knows the stats. Better representation blacks doesn't change if someone is a racist or knows the facts. They do.

This was one of the biggest issues I had with the movie. Jenny Ortega got stabbed deep into the stomach (non sexually). You could see the handle flush against her stomach so it was a very deep stab. Then in the same scene, she's stabbed deep into her back. A minute later she's sitting on a step talking casually to her sister. It was so ridiculous.

Why did they even need to make more after the first one? It was a good standalone movie.
