I've had a Subaru BRZ as my daily since 2014. Whenever I needed a truck for hauling, I just rented one from Home Depot for $30.

Trucks are not what I would consider "comfortable" for daily driving. Body on ladder frame and big, heavy brick is great but for a daily driver pretty much any car is more comfortable/easier driving unless you drive a modded out manual sports cars.
Automatic would be more "comfortable, convenient, easy going" than a manual.
Have you considered a cheap sedan or pickup AND a cheapish, used rwd manual coup?

No reason it wouldn't be comfortable as a daily unless you have a bad back or something and can't handle bumps in the road.
It might be a hassle though depending on what kind of stuff you transport in it daily, or if you have more than 1 passenger regularly.

Use to DD several mustangs and all I had for years. DD two subaru wrx (one a STi) and now have a tacoma.
The truck is infinitely better for everyday use. Sports cars are infinitely more fun. If I had a family I would 100% keep the truck.
If youre going for a sports car get a mustang GT. Not the 4 banger. If you cant afford it look for something else entirely then. Dont get a WRX/STi unless you plan to mod the ever living fukk out of it to make it somewhat fast. Unless you want something that is both able to carry people and cargo, and go a little fast. But you will do neither well, just can.
I might look into a BRZ if I were going back to subaru and wanted something thats sporty and fun to drive. And couldnt afford a mustang GT.

Also I almost bought a used z06 corvette. But they are more expensive to maintain than say a mustang. Faster and sportier though. I guess if I had to rank from least expensive to most and going up in fun level I would say ...

If you want a Camaro OP, get you one. Don't let people on here steer you to the cheap a55 Fords. I definitely wouldn't want to drive a truck as my DD. Good for hauling and stuff but not as a DD.
I too will be on the market for a new DD, just don't know what I want yet.

Depends on how much daily driving you do. If you're sitting in bumper to bumper traffic or driving 50+ miles a day I would not want to drive either a truck or a sports car. I personally rather drive a cheap toyota for commuting, or a Lexus. (Ded fkn Srs)

The Challenger is the comfiest out of the stang and camaro. I had a 392 shaker challenger and it was a really fun DD but I replaced it with a truck for work reasons.

Much more comfortable daily driver than Mustang / Camaro / Vette, classic styling, usable back seat / trunk, the 6.4 and 6.2 Hemis along with the ZF transmissions go fantastic together and are reliable, and sound like proper muscle cars.

I love sitting in, listening to, and driving mine. It is also terribly impractical.
Infinity G37 AWD Coupe. Solid 20 MPG and Premium gas only. Back seat can fit 2 small children.
The Renamed G37 (Q60 now) has AWD variants and was capable in snow pretty much the reason I settled on it.
Though if you are over 6'1 you might want to find something else.

I daily my modded ZL1 every day that there isn't precipitation (Central TX - I DD it 90% of the year lol).
I do also have a beater POS for theother10% of days.
If I drove more miles (my work 'commute' is less than 5 miles) I probably wouldn't DD it, just because it would put more miles on it than I want.
Honestly if you can afford it OP, do it. Get something fun to drive. We all spend more time behind the wheel than we should nowadays (from both a mental and physical health standpoint) and you might as well enjoy it if you can.
People who hate on DDing fun cars either don't have the means to DD one, or haven't had the chance to experienceenjoyingtheir daily driving and thus see it as a chore instead of a possibly enjoyable period of the day. Enjoying the drive to/from work, the store, etc., is just more fun and enjoyment for your life and most people could use that, tbh.
