Come Say Howdy to Marny!

Howdy fellas

Marny came home with me a couple of weeks ago, with Soda Milk. I haven’t had a chance to post her. Mainly because she spent most of her time hiding since she got here. She’s recently started to come out of hiding a little bit more, but is still quite skittish.

She loves head pats, shoulder scratches and churu treats.

Marny was found with a bullet in her spine, and while she has recovered from the injury she is paralyzed in her lower legs and incontinent. But that doesn’t stop her from having a good time here

^I’ll give Marny some extra pets for you

We’re at the shelter right now running a urine culture. Last week we found out she had been culturing E. coli in her bladder.

We’re hoping that the meds took care of it, but I’ll keep you posted!

I should have the results soon!

Marny bit one of the vets while they were expressing her bladder which means we’re going to have to do Bite Quarantine for the next 10 days.

Essentially, for the next 10 days, she cannot be relocated/adopted.

The good news:

She has gained 2lbs and is now at a healthy weight!

Oh man, this is quite sad. I overlooked the part where the cat was shot. I thought perhaps she was run over. It makes it a lot worse knowing this incident may have been intentional.

I worked closely With a rabbit rescue. Is she a bunny? How much hay and pellets? I seen they constantly need to eat even when taken to the vet they need hay in the carrier.
