In general due to literally having goverment policies over the long term,is it smart to get shares now in said mines?

I mine for myself (gold) and know the value as its climbing etc but on paper ive been thinking about the battery industry.

I know fukk all about shares and all that side of things but yay or nay?

Well tied to north american government mandates,the hunt is on for reserves im sure.

I think sources from North America and countries who have free-trade agreements with us will end up being pretty lucrative, the Inflation Reduction Act has a decade worth of tax incentives geared towards pulling the battery supply chain out of China/North Korea/Russia/Iran and I'm betting those sources from friendly countries will have increased pricing power for that reason.

Got no clue about companies or valuations though. I know there's a company in Quebec who did a deal with Tesla recently, and Australia is one of the bigger lithium producers outside of Asia.

I'd also be considering other critical battery minerals, graphite will likely be a big one and China/North Korea together currently control something stupid like 95% of the global market

i was in graphite stocks 2 years ago (Noueau Monde Graphite) that was claimed to be the next big things due to EV-s. The price was $25CAD back then, now it's $6.67. I got out without taking much damage but right now is a pretty hard sell to be in any EV related stonks. I have been following some smaller players in the Lithium industry that are in the Argentinian lithium mines next to whales like Rio Tinto who has been buying up land and smaller companies there. I think the last deal they did was for around $800 mil to grab some more land but in general, it's way too early to tell and a strong gamble.

One of the ones I'm eyeing are Argentina Lithium & Energy but it hasn't moved anywhere yet. They have large plots of land right next to Rio site. Argentina has some of the largest Lithium mines in the world and China is all up in it as well but who knows when the boom will start, could take 5-10 years.
