Its nice though cause 2-3 beers and im buzzed and happy
after 25 drinking goes downhill, in your early thirties hangovers are multiday events lol

I enjoy drinking more in my 30s, as I mostly do it at bars and have a lot more control over it. Getting the spins is maaaaaaybe a 1x per year thing for me, and I usually don't even drink enough for a hangover.
My relationship with alcohol is much better than it was at any point in my 20s, and that's likely because my mental health is a much better now as well.

I have the same experience but with weed. Feel like my lungs just dont want to smoke anymore and cause problems. I dont like that it confuses my brain. I want my brain to give me dopamine of exercise, meditation, good food,
and healthy stuff. But whenever I start drugs my brain gets confused and its like my brain says:" Why the **** do all these healthy things when you can feel good that easy way?"
I think its probably more or less the same with alcohol.

Everything I post is trash.

As someone who has oscillated between drinking regularly (probably too much) and teetotal-ing, I'm pretty sure that when you drink regularly your body actually gets better at handling/breaking down alcohol. So I could/can casually do 3-4 beers/bottle of wine every day and then the next morning I'm more or less fresh after a shower/coffee once that's my routine...but then when I take like a few weeks off 3-4 drinks at the bar will really impact for me like the entirety of the next day.
In general, my ability to enjoy alcohol is very much tied to how regularly I've been drinking it. It's an odd poison. I think a few beers with friends while watching some stupid sports things or just hanging out is still a lot of fun.

i got sick of drinking for drinking's sake.
everything was drinking.
Realised drinking was masking a lot of problems in my life. Was starting to have emotional outbursts occasionally when drinking. Decided to stop drinking and if I didn't like the situation sober I would remove it from my life.
Got rid of 80% of my "friends", changed jobs, broke up with ex and everything in my life is giga better.
Still drink, love to drink, but it isn't necessary. Plan it around a big hit out now every month or two rather than having 6 pints 3-4 times a week every week year round.
Maybe try that.

I have no interest in drinking at bars or at social functions anymore. Just not worth it 99% of the time. But I do still like to take a weekend every month or so and drink a bottle of whiskey or something. Sometimes I pay for it dearly over two days, sometimes I barely get a hangover at all. It's weird.

Not in my early 30s, but late 30s and definitely my early 40s. A couple beers is enough for me. Any more and I feel like chit. I also don't like whiskey much. Mixed with coke or something is fine, but I used to drink it neat and now it's no thx jeff.

Drink way less these days. A bottle of something can last for a long time in the house now.
I think the main reason is it hits you a bit harder in your 30's. I remember the first time I drank a beer and feel asleep on the couch. All of a sudden, beer in the evening made me sleepy, which was new for me. And too much the day before lifting can make the gym session suck. So I drink maybe once or twice a week tops.

I just despise hangovers now more than anything, especially if I'm not on a trip/visiting friends and just rotting at home.
Also worse when you're not dating anyone and miss the morning s3x after going out together the night before.

No.....37 and I've drank almost every night for the last 3 weeks.
not drinking to get drunk by any means......2 beers or maybe 1 glass of scotch.....just enough to get a little buzz and that's it.
Usually drink a glass of water before bed with some electrolytes and aminos, wake up feeling just fine.

30? hell no, you have another 20- 30 years 0f hard drinking in you if you do it right at least. Imagine al the fun you will be missing out on for all that time.
I eventually got sort of tired of it but that was just because I sort of got bored with it.

29 so I guess I don’t quite count but I still enjoy the social lubricant. I have no desire to drink at home but once a week out with the boys watching sports and chatting up sloots is still a good time
