Just kidding, it was a different dog for once!

A Pennsylvania woman died after she was attacked by a neighbor's dogs she had gone over to feed while their owner was away, authorities said. State police said 38-year-old Kristin Potter died after she was attacked Thursday evening by the two Great Danes in Centre Township southwest of New Bloomfield.

Perry County Coroner Robert Ressler said the victim had gone to the home with her young son, who ran for help when two of the three dogs present attacked.

"He was present at the scene, but I don't think he was there for much of it," Ressler said, according to WGAL-TV. "As soon as he saw the dogs starting to attack his mother, he ran across the road to have his brother call 911."

Almost didn’t believe that it wasn’t land sharks, but there were two dead giveaways from the article.

1. It said they were Great Danes (this is almost unbelievable to me since those dogs are generally big dumb teddy bears)
2. Two of the three dogs killed her. The third one did not jump into the madness. If it were land sharks all 3 would’ve been stomping on her.

Also for those who didn’t bother reading the article it says both dogs were euthanized.

If two great danes had you in an enclosed space and were in full predator mode you’d be just as dead. 150-200 lb monsters with a breed history of boar hunting.

I’m 6’3 230 and I don’t like my chances in that scenario.

Only chance is break their jaws fast. Luckily dogs have pretty weak lower jaws. One solid kick and they're done.

really hard to believe she hadn't been a d*ck to these dogs at some point

great danes are super cool animals, at least the ones that I've come across. At like 7 years old I once walked through the doors of an automotive repair shop and suddenly I was looking up at a dog face to face. I stumbled back and fell on the ground in shock, the dane just looked at me with no intentions.

this is the first time I've ever even heard of great danes being violent.

Even dogs you know are totally different on their turf. Super easy to get bit if you are not careful.

I got a call once from the guy watching my dogs while I was out of town. Said my female was bowing up and wouldn't even let him in the kennel to feed and water. Full threat display. And this was a guy with a lot of dog experience and a dog he had met on neutral ground many times. He sat there for an hour and eventually got her to calm down, but some unaware person just opening the door probably would have gotten a bite.
