Aware me on selling cars
Aware me on what it is like working as a slimy, grimy, scamming car salesman. Not SRS about the slimy, grimy, scamming part.
I have been doing sales work now for about 7/8 years. Its all over the phone/email. Considering a bit of a direction change career wise and wanna make more money. Currently around 75k salary, 40 hour work week. Ontario beavercell.
What's it like selling cars? What can I expect to make? What do I need to learn/do? What sort of hours would I expect to work? Wheres the money at?

It can be decent money or the poor house. Its almost never just consistently decent pay.
You stand pll day on the lot rain or shine and basically go in turns or ups as they call them. next person is your up and so on,. So if that person is not a serious buyer, you are to blame and are back on the bottom of the up list and work your way up again to the top by standing on the lot again.
Some shifts are open to close and some will be shorter.
No matter how good a salesman you are or how great you have been doing, you will be blamed for all the ills of the management or the dealership. It is always 100% your fault.
The managers will **** on you any chance they get as they will act like they are the only ones who can do anything right even tough they arent in front of the customers.
In general, the job is easy enough to get and you can go from dealership to dealership easily but they will all pretty much suck.
Some guys will do pretty good but like any job, they are usually the bosses son or his golf buddies or something like that. When i sold them the guy who did the best was the fleet sales guy. He would basically do internet sales and the calls and web orders would all be under his name so of course he always had the most sales. Then everyone else is compared to him and if you didnt sell as many, well then, its obviously because you suck.
These are the best parts of the job too so keep that in mind. Its a low end job for low end type people. Some can be ok but they are all under the same pressures and will agree with 90% of what I have listed.
Except the bosses of course, they can never admit any wrong doing.

"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda
