The show slowly turned into a giant convoluted mess as writers were grasping at ways to keep the plot moving forward. The show was clearly not planned out from the beginning.

The thing that made it so memorable for me at the time was the forums. I literally had 100s and 100s of posts each week predicting what was going to come on the next episode etc. It was so much fun. The theories, the unknown, it was all so good for my 19yr old self hahah

Fun fact Coal Man ... the show initially was only supposed to go for 4 episodes. In The Pilot 2 ... Jack was supposed to die ... then they saw the viewer numbers of the first episode and decided against it

I think they made the first season expecting it was going to get canceled. And when they were asked to do more seasons, they were like “oh sht now what?”

Season 1 was amazing. But as the seasons went on it tirned to complete chit.
