A shred of hope in this clown world

had a pizza party with co-workers. most of the people there are millenials/gen-x employees, many with stable families and some with grandchildren.

the conversation ended up with somebody talking about nose piercings on a man and how this is weird and a feminine thing (which it actually is), and men wearing skinny jeans and dying their hair. and other things like we shouldn't let girlfriends dictate what their sons do, etc. and just regular family value stuff.

but this is the type of stuff that could actually get you cancelled in 2023. like how dare you talk about having a mother and a father in the household, how dare you speak about masculine and feminine roles and values or how dare you talk about men dressing up like women and acting feminine.

I think it just shows you that at least the older generation still believes in that stuff (now I don't know exactly what they do in their personal lives but at least on the surface) and how it just reinforces it is a vocal minority that screams at the top of their lungs about lgbt. If everybody said how they truly felt we could put an end to it. but unfortunately corporations and media are too powerful and have bought in to the whole DEI nonsense. In reality almost nobody actually cares or gives thought to this.

it'll suck in a way when the older generation dies off, what should be normal talk and behaviour since literally the beginning of human existence, could possibly die with Generation X and be completely gone in say the next 40-50 years. But still the hope is alive we can keep this anti-degen crew going strong.
