Domestic Violence

Thought I'd stop in and educate miscers about what domestic violence means in our changing socio-political climate. I encourage you to use this information to mould yourselves into supportive, emotionally safe men.

Not supporting her financially when you make more money than her is domestic violence.

Not supporting her having guy friends is domestic violence.

Not supporting her going out with the girls, even if other men will be there is domestic violence.

Bringing up her past in a negative way is domestic violence.

Rigidly holding things against her that she did or said when she was vulnerable, confused, or not getting the emotional support she needed is domestic violence.

These are some of the ways most men don't realize are domestic violence. You may be an abuser and not know it. Ignorance is no excuse. Be better, educate yourself, and take responsibility for where you may have been abusive or not emotionally supportive, and make sure this toxic behavior does not continue. Break the cycle, and educate other men on these things as well. Together we can become the men women deserve.
