Kinda like how every company has a "loyalty/rewards" program, and they all want you to waste wallet/keychain space carrying a physical card for them.

One of the regional gas giant chains in my area has gotten downright awful with it. Their idea of a model employee is someone who pesters every customer about it several times, every single time they come in. brb pestering me about "the deals" I can get with a "rewards card". Listen Shelly, I actually do have a rewards card that probs has about 300 stops worth of trips on it, but it's sitting in a drawer somewhere back home, where I forgot about it years ago. It's not that I'm unaware of it all, it's that I'm not taking the time to "register" it (get put on some retarded junk email list by them, and possibly even physical spam mail) just for the grand "reward" of being entitled to a free $3 slurpee or fountain drink soda for every 15 to 25 trips I make it in.

Kind of funny how the internet was originally envisioned as a means of simplifying entry to the world wide web via web browser.... They basically designed web browsers so companies wouldn't need to code their own software. So much for that.
