LOW ENERGY Trump rally sees many LEAVE EARLY in conservative TEXAS

https://www.newsweek.com/trump-rally...report-1790368
About 30 minutes into the rally, the crowd began to thin, with people getting a head start on the walk back to the parking lots, designated and otherwise," the report reads.
The energy is truly pathetic this time around.
Following Trump's speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, a Republican who supported Trump's previous presidential bids, suggested his lack of presidential rallies could be due to his alleged inability to draw a large crowd earlier in March.

"You saw the scenes at CPAC. That room was half-full," Christie said.

This time they won't. Trump is going to use ballot harvesting to cover those 50,000 votes he lost by last time.

I remember Trump losing in 2020 and not winning the popular vote for the second straight election. Good times.

Read this morning that the rally held in Waco was much different than Trump rallies held years ago, and this is in a bad way.

"The Trump of Waco, Texas Is Very Different From the Trump Who Came Down the Escalator in 2015"

https://redstate.com/joesquire/2023/...n-2015-n721633

excerpt:

At a rally in Waco, Texas, former president Donald Trump spoke to thousands of fans about what he believes are the biggest issues of the day.

If you were to pay attention to the news cycles and the American people’s biggest concerns, you might think Trump spent hours talking about persistent inflation, a minor financial crisis, border security, the ******** epidemic, China, Russia, energy independence, etc. None of that really seemed to be on Trump’s agenda Saturday night, however.

Instead, what we got was an airing of grievances from the former president. It was a rally focused on his personal enemies – the Department of Justice, Ron DeSantis, Joe Biden, Mitch McConnell, Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, and others. It was a rally that elevated what has long been central to Trump’s post-2020 rhetoric: He is the victim, and the American people should rally to his plight.

To be fair, there is a segment of the Republican base that will sympathize with Trump, and those who may have been fans but were on the fence about him as the GOP nominee in 2024 have decided that the persecution must stop and that he must be the nominee to put an end to the weaponization of the justice system against him. I’m not sure that it’s going to move the needle in Trump’s direction as much as others are, but it will probably be a factor.

But the winning strategy for Trump in 2016 was not making it all about himself. It was about the American people. Many people voted for Trump because Hillary Clinton represented more of the same misery that they had received under Barack Obama. Trump effectively made the case that he was not like them because he wasn’t pretending to be something he wasn’t. He was a rich American who knew the system was stacked against the American people because he used that system to stay ahead.

He was able to secure the Republican base because he talked about the issues of the moment for them. Immigration, corruption in the system, and other subjects all resonated well with the GOP base. But that wasn’t the message that was presented to his supporters last night, and while his supporters may be eating that message up, the messages heard by those around the country who are hearing about it after the fact is not one that may resonate with them.....

This is demonstrated right in this forum too. At one point Trump threads were all about his plans and his platform, and people would discuss the pros/cons of such.

For several years now Trump threads are all like this one, devoid of substance while heavy on the empty bitching about the media, low IQ never Trumpers, and arguing over how many people showed up.

I hope republicans step up their ballot harvesting game, but harvesting systemically favors the democrats. Democrats live in tightly packed cities, republicans live in rural areas. You could walk apartment to apartment and harvest hundreds of thousands of ballots in a a few fours in a city; but in rural republican areas, you need to drive to go from house to house.

Since poverty leftist cannot afford vehicles and ride around on public transportation, they don't understand that even before a good concert is over people start to leave to beat the traffic.

these are all excellent points.
libs can only harvest so many votes when they don't have a car, have a car but no gas money, or the opposite end an electric car that only has a 50 mile range.
meanwhile trumpers will have to put in for vacation but once approved they can cover the whole state.

there are hurdles to jump for both sides.
who will harvest the most though?

We're on the same page again then.

Durnmph is bringing nothing new with this campaign, no excitement and nothing to discuss that isn't beating a dead horse (no offense).

Because I'm honest, I'll offer my own counterpoint to that. This isn't the end for him, starting early bought him the advantage of time to test the waters, adapt, and pivot his campaign towards a more receptive message. He needs something/someone to campaignagainstand once the rest of election materializes he'll probably start to do better, assuming the others haven't learned to simply ignore his antics.

Seems like the MAGA movement slogan has changed from Make America Great Again to Whine How America Has Gone to Chit (and do nothing about it).
