ITT: Anyone wanna see what 50lbs weight loss looks like? (we're all gonna make it)

Photo 1 was approximately 10 years ago (u mirin' flip phone of peace?) at 215lbs.
Photo 2 is this morning at 165lbs (u mirin' billy bass? ya, u mirin')
This morning, I finally weighed in at 50 pounds lighter than this first image where I was a fat hairy kunt who'd not learned the ins and outs of proper lifting and nutrition yet. I had taken too much outside advice and fulked really hard. I then decided to do this on my own and began consuming a lot of articles online and perusing the nutrition sub forums here. There's been many ups and downs in the past 10 years and I've learned a lot.
I wanted to post this as an exemplification of the saying we all love here - 'we're all gonna make it, brah.' I once thought it was absolutely hopeless. I'm happy to report that I exceeded all previous expectations I had. If you told me 10 years ago that I'd one day wind up at this weight looking like photo # 2 I would have probably laughed in your face.
I'm right in the middle of my spring cut now with an end date of late May/early June. I'm very confident that I'll be able to break through yet another plateau this year and perhaps even get to the fabled "sub 10%" territory. Only time will tell. It's been a smooth cut so far; always hungry, but I'm used to that.
We are truly all gonna make it

Don't give up on your lifting goals!

It's the most simple thing to change, but most overlook it.

10 years? Mirin brah, that's a genuine lifestyle/longterm change.
Thick. Solid. Tight.
Thick. Solid. Tight.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

GJDM and holy fukkin chit.
I'm getting to the point where I'm a legit fatass now and it only took two years to get to that point. This is pretty inspiring.

I’ll give credit where it is due even though we don’t like each other. I understand the level of commitment it took to accomplish this goal.
I personally went from 300 to 220 in about 3 years.
First year was 300 to 260. Wasn’t that hard. Hopped on. Second was 260 to about 240. Not too bad.
This year about 235-40 down to 220 and at 6’3 I’m happy with this look especially for my age.
You just need some color. Bad. Keep on cucking up the free world.

Going from 300 to just above 200 is considerable progress so kudos for that initiative (srs)

Seriously, though - today is my cheat meal. I'm BBQing some bacon cheeseburgers, eating pizza, and having cake later. My angus is peppered hard.

solid transformation, we will indeed all make it eventually. I was also an overweight kunt at like 230 something at 5'9" and have made it to being consistently in the 170's. Been about 10 years since then for me as well, gjdm.

Nice. It's motivating for me to get back to 180s, which means 30 pounds need to come off. My biggest hurdle will be giving up wine.

Goes to show you how important a solid routine is during a fat loss phase. I went from 270 to 152 in a year and 10 months of that was strictly cardio and I looked like a sad, skinnyfat, deflated balloon by the end of it.

A year or so before, I started going to a gym slowly, did some cookie cutter cardio stuff, lost a bit of weight, and then I got interested in bodybuilding. I knew someone who was an ex-olympic gymnast who referred me to her gym, run by a gang of 'award winning bodybuilders.' I sat with one dude who's photos looked impressive and he made me the most banal 'diet' you've ever seen without even any calories attached. I get the sense this dude had supreme genes and may have been gearing up so he would just recommend what worked for him to everyone. Needless to say, I blew up like a fuking balloon and one day I was even fatter than when I began. This photo was captured in the depressing moment in a changing room where I was buying dress pants for an event I was going to and could only fit in size 38 pants, my fat hairy bloated gut sticking out like an overstuffed muffin spilling out of its paper tin. I can't even wear size 32 pants now without a belt or else they slip down. I fit more into 31s but that's tough to find.Dayum you must have made a complete lifestyle change. Nice work mayne!
I worked my ass off since this before picture, though. It really started clicking in hard 5 or so years ago when I began solidifying the approach that best fit my own needs and lifestyle. One massive piece of advice I could give is that there is no 'one size fits all' approach to bodybuilding. Work hard to figure out what works for you
