I drink about 500mg of caffeine day. Am I going to die?

I work 5 days a week 14+ hours a day so I need it. I'm also 28 years old, how long do I have left to live?

I used to consume 2 pots of very strong coffee daily for about 10 years, down now to about twice your intake.

its fine

Most drip coffees will have like 350mg anyway so 500 isn't that much over the course of a day. Venti drip at Starbucks has close to 500.

Once I was up to 1000 mg over the course of a 16 hour day. You build up a resistance, so you have to taper off slowly, like -50 mg a day, to avoid the tension headache that comes with withdrawal.

I'm not a doctor but I'd say you have somewhere between 350 and 35000 days left to live, OP.

I take a 200mg tab in the morning at 7am and then another at ~12:30

Then I have some stuff on top of it.

I saw Andrew huberman on YouTube say that if you wait ~90 minutes after waking up to take it, you won't have the crash. Due to adenosine. Adenosine builds up during the night and caffeine blocks adenosine. If you take it right after waking up, there will still be some adenosine that will block the caffeine, whereas if you wait it'll clear up, and there won't be adenosine remnants

I'm not sure how true that is. But I have also read 400mg a day you shouldn't see anything. But because of the extra drinks I incur I'm over that

I just watch myself on the weekends. This weekend I haven't crashed at all and or taken any. So ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

400mg a day is not bad, it's the "danger zone" according to the FDA, but what do they know?

It's not recommended to consume 500mg of caffeine in a day as it is considered a high amount. However, it's unlikely to cause immediate death. Nonetheless, caffeine consumption in high amounts can lead to several health problems such as heart palpitations, anxiety, insomnia, and other issues.

As for your age and caffeine consumption, it's not possible to predict how long you have left to live. Life expectancy depends on many factors such as genetics, lifestyle, environment, and healthcare. Caffeine consumption in high amounts can increase the risk of health problems, but it's not a definitive predictor of lifespan. However, it's always wise to maintain a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet and regular exercise, to increase the likelihood of living a long and healthy life.

I have multiple coffees, a PWO and a diet soft drink or two daily

probably north of 500 mg and the only adverse side effect I've ever experienced is slight irritability and lack of concentration when I don't have any for extended periods of time.

The recommended daily maximum is 400mg. And you already know if thats an official recommendation its conservative as hell

google "5 cups of coffee a day" and you'll see tons of articles about "no long term side effects" etc
