Day of sadness for Boomers: Ford to discontinue AM Radio in all cars

To be honest, I'm surprised AM has made it this far. Around 2008 I figured most regular listeners were beginning to die out. By now it's finally time to put it to bed.

I grew up with WBBM playing when I'd drive with my dad. I haven't listened to anything on the AM dial in years though.

Bad idea. Isn't AM still used for emergency broadcasts? And isn't it better for that purpose as well?
