Use vaseline.

I use it while boxing to prevent cuts but noticed it helps alot for chapped lips too.

I'm not really wondering how to prevent chapped lips with balms or whatever. I just want to know that if I let my lips go all natural, are they supposed to get chapped everyday? am i supposed to remove the dead skin everyday? is it normal to get chapped lips everyday?

Vaseline only protects, so is best used before chapping. This also works after chapping.

I used tons of chapsticks trying to find the right one.

This was pretty good, but I ended up not liking the more liquid ones after a while. Plus it wasn't cheap:
