Got a PS5 in February... Have hardly used my Series X since

First time having both the newest PS and Xbox consoles at the same time. Previously I had OG Xbox, Xbox 360, then PS4, Xbox One X, then Series X last year. The Xbox controller feels like a childs toy now and the UI is garbage srs.

So far I've played both Last of Us games, the 2 most recent Spiderman games, God of War 2018 and now on Ragnarok. Gaming Nirvana Srs. Gonna Play Ghosts of Sushi or Final Fantasy 7 Remake after this.

Mind Blown I've been a fan of the lesser platform for years now. Can't even remember why I switched over from the PS4 back in 2018. Still gonna keep my Xbox for exclusives, shooters, and the occasional sports game. Glad I have both systems but lol at blindly loyal XCels who don't know they are missing out on the superior Console.

I do honestly feel bad for most xboxcels, you can tell they are coping at a level that they truly don't understand what they are missing.

I got a Lunar Shift controller for my PC. It looks amazing but the build quality is no where near DualSense. I honestly hate the R1/L1 shoulder buttons on the Xbox controller. They rub on the inside of my fingers when I'm just holding the controller normally. Dunno. Just something about it is off.

I mean you're probably drawn to the cinematic experience Sony games offer. After a little while you'll soon realize these "games" offer very little in terms gameplay. While Sony has mastered the cinematic aspect of games, they failed to deliver in everything else that actually matters.

What the fck does that even mean? Sony exclusives are some of the best games available hence why they can pull of the whole 'you can't play me on anything else by the playstation' thing and still generate a successful amount of revenue.

Cool, I guess. I also just got a PS5 right around then, and I was playing Forza Horizon 5's new expansion on my Series X all weekend. Outside of that I've been playing a lot of GT7 and Cities Skylines on my PS5. Beyond that, between both platforms I got no shortage of games to get into.

He's too poor to afford a 1080p tv, let alone a 4k tv and makes claims that 720p is the most superior resolution. dont expect any unbiased posts from a guy that cant afford to get two consoles therefore he has to justify his luxury, once in 10 years "big purchase", as being the superior choice lol.

Good on op for owning two consoles .... My PS5 gets played far more often than my series x as well .... Series x just doesn't have the software library of sony's offerings. Series x is a mini paper weight at this point, but i'm patiently waiting for all the games are apparently "coming soon".

Yeah they definitely specialize in a cinematic style of gaming that I would best relate to the "Oscar bait" category in movies. You know, the kinda chit that critics love to go crazy over, that wins all sorts of awards, but it's just not that enjoyable to people who are tired of the kinda bullchit that's popular among that crowd.

I mean good for people who are into it, or can relate, but that's definitely not me when it comes to movies or video games these days.

Define "game." Number 1 issue with Sony games are the lack of interactive gameplay. Look at the popular PS5 games Last of Tranny, Ghost of sushi, God of tranny.

-All 3rd person single player games.
-All cinematic story driven
- All have gimmicky gameplay (Run up to bad guy press X to assassinate. So fkn interactive)
- Bad guy attacks you. Mash X or die.
-Movement feels slow.

Now I know sonycels are gonna come in and rage WELLL GHOST OF TRANNY DOESNT DO THAT BLAH BLAH. In general PS5 has all or some of these qualities. It's the same old tired formula for every single game.

One thing never changes

Both sides manage to make gaming seem lame and unappealing

Sometimes I wonder if you guys are just enjoying yourselves more to show off to the other side that they aren’t enjoying themselves as much, than to actually just have fun.

brahs who own both, which one do you prefer for multiplatform games?

I initially crossed over (notrannie) to Xbox because of the imo chitty controller layout on Playstation (D-pad and joystick placement really grinds my gears, just why?)

had PS1 and PS2, then went to Xbox, always the current Nintendo console on the side

Congrats, OP. You're part of the 80% (probably 85% by now) But dont forget to wipe the dust off that Xbox once in a while. Or maybe you can sell it to some 12 year old that dont know any better.

Xboxcels seem think to think that if a game isn't a first person shooter, it is automatically "cinematic open world trash". You retards need to understand that not everyone plays chitty shooters.

PS5 also has plenty of games that aren't cinematic open worlds. There's more variety there than Xbox exclusives. Xbox had almost nothing last year.

For me I might find myself leaning towards PS5 for racing games and FPS if they make good use of dualsense, because those are the only games where I feel it makes a real enhancement. Outside of that I don't think there is a big difference really, ports seem to look, load, and play just about as well on both platforms. GamePass definitely has the better subscription though, so I wind up playing a lot more variety on Xbox due to that. PS Plus Extra basically only seems worthwhile for a few months so I can play some of the PS5 exclusive games they got on that, but after I've played those I don't see much keeping me on it over a standard PS+ sub.

Lol what are all these PS exclusive games that aren't 3'rd person action titles? Seems like Xbox has a lot more variety to their exclusives these days. I mean I can't think of anything I am even looking forward to on PS5 right now, because all the talk is focused on the same few big 3'rd person action franchises. Sony is basically becoming Ubisoft but with a focus on a more cinematic feel.

But PS games are the best games as proven by objective metrics:

Xbox has neither quality or quantity.

This is like people trying to brag about films winning awards or being preferred by critics these days. Nobody gives a chit besides the fanboys and losers who actually still think of that as a big deal for reasons that definitely have nothing to do with personal enjoyment of media.

If you're into trashcade physics thats fair enough. I find those types of racing games boring, no skill involved the car just goes where you aim it.
If you want a real rally experience get WRC10 and a wheel. That'll humble you
