I hope it's successful enough to spawn more nintendo movies. they're fun movies for kids and will make a great alternative to frozen/brave/etc

imagine a zelda or kirby movie

Tip of the iceberg for Nintendo if Illumination pulls this off

I know its probably more niche, but for me a starfox movie would be great taking place in the starfox 64 story line.

Not sure why I would be taking IGN's advice on movies, but it just looks like some kids movie with questionable voice acting.

I remember watching the super mario bros series on tv back in the early 90s. I always enjoyed it and hope that kids get into the movie and it becomes a success. Maybe even bring back the series.

And the best part is, no wokeness. Nintendo dont play that chit.

My pet peeve with this **** is getting A-list MOVIE STARS to do voices rather than PROFESSIONAL VOICE ACTORS. Invincible has the same fukin' problem. When I see Allen the Alien I wanna be thinking "that's Allen the Alien", NOT "That's Seth Rogan".

No one has a clue who any professional voice actors are thus the immersion is not broken and the characters FULLY become characters.

I'm just gonna wait for the 4K Blu-ray. Movie screens in my city just dont compare to a 4K movie in HDR on an OLED.

You can tell they definitely wanted to have headline grabbing voice actors. They seem poorly suited based off the previews.

I'll probably just wait until it's free to stream somewhere. Most new movies aren't worth paying to see these days.

It’s just a really dumb business minded trend that’s par for the course with Hollywood these days.

The sad thing is that had they cast for the Mario role properly they’d have likely found a really talented voice actor who could put on a subtle Italian twang, but instead we have to listen to Chris Pratt.

Yup, Hollywood is all about nepotism, cronyism, and bullchit these days, it's why I stopped expecting good things from there.
