Quick background:

I was hired by 'Company A'.

However I am embedded in an integrated team with 'Company B' and 'Company C'.

The majority are with Company B, and all work is done on their systems.

Thus I have been supplied with laptops for:

- Company A (Dell)
- Company B (HP)

Both laptops are different brands (both non-Mac however), and both forbid the use of docking into each other's docking station.

I am however now going to be 100% fully remote, and I'd like to do a legit set up at home (I've just been working off the laptop screen for the past 18 months and hate it - I've been waiting to stop renting and when I got my own home completely set up the office as if I was in an actual office with dual monitors)

So I am looking for a universal docking station which will work on varied non-Mac brand laptops, however really have no knowledge on the subject since I'd turn up to either office and the docking station/monitor set up would already be set up and I simply would just plug the laptop in.

The fact it has both HDMI as well as Display Ports I guess is important because I assume that means any monitor I have will be able to connect to it?

Or do you boyos have better recommendations!?
