Joaquin Phoenix Spotted Hobomaxxing For Joker 2 Role (srs)(vid)

You boyos excited?

Misc's favorite anti-hero "villain".

Apparently, Lady Gaga is playing Harley Quinn??
Lady Gaga was first reported to be “in talks” to take on the role of Harley Quinn in the Joker sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux, in June 2022. By Aug. 2022, the film’s director, Todd Phillips, confirmed the news via Instagram. Fans were excited to see the “Born This Way” songstress take on the role, previously portrayed by Margot Robbie in Suicide Squad, which she herself has even said she is “excited” for.

Of course, Joaquin Phoenix will reprise his role as the Joker in the 2024 movie. Interestingly, Bradley Cooper, who directed A Star Is Born and starred in the film alongside Gaga is one of the producers of Joker 2. Since the movie began filming in New York City in early 2023, Little Monsters have been raving about the Grammy-winner’s Harley costumes on social media.

This is not the blonde beauty’s first major motion picture, as she starred in A Star Is Born, as previously mentioned, in 2018. And in 2021, she starred in the House of Gucci biopic alongside Adam Driver. Gaga also won a Golden Globe award for her role as The Countess in the fifth season of American Horror Story. Ahead of the Oct. 4, 2024 release of Joker: Folie à Deux, see photos of the cast on the set here!

Will watch this second one too to see if it stacks up to Indian Jokar.

I saw the 1st one with my fiance and that really, I think, made me hate it.

I watched it again alone and I f*cking loved it.

Same thing happened with Big Fish

Absolutely. Tired of the praise this chit movie that needs to kill itself receives. It sucked. It dragged. It was is and always will be completely forgettable.
it's better to suck dink than to be killed

I don't know what Hollywood is thinking anymore if they are even thinking anything at all. Constant sequels and remakes with endless woke messages. It really is all so tiresome. Nowadays I mostly watch obscure stuff or movies from SEA or other non-western countries.

They are out of ideas, just like with music, so they only create crap. It truly is over. Glad I got to grow up in the 90's.

There are many things they could be making. If you watch non-hollywood stuff there's so much interesting content out there with unique twists. Remember Channel Zero? That show had potential. They could focus on creepypastas or The SCP Foundation centered around all sorts of Eldritch beings. They played around with that in The Cabin in the Woods. I guess it's a bit too niche for film investment companies.

I just started cringing at pre-joker but I realize that's the point.

He is really cringe and maladjusted so society turns him into a villain.

The Dark Knight Trilogy just set the bar so high it was like the LOTR trilogy.

They have really overdone it because it makes money.

It was the same thing with action movies in the 80s lots of filler.

You have the Dark Knight Trilogy and a lot of slop that will be lost to time.

You have Rambo: First Blood and you have Gary Busey's Bulletproof.

A bit stoked to see it. Not really uneasy because of the "it's going to be a musical" thing, or "Lady Gaga is here to **** it up" but because sequels for the sake of "cuz the studio wants it" are rarely good.

lol no. The Dark Knight was great, The Dark Knight Rises was good because of Tom Hardy, aside from that the rest of the trilogy was kind of negligible. By the way funny it keeps getting referred to as "The Dark Knight Trilogy" how many other trilogies out there were defined by theirsecondentry?

First one was probably one of the best acting jobs I've ever seen, no joke. Guy got into the character perfectly and played it to the point you were disturbed, which is what it's supposed to be about. Don't know why they even bothered with a sequel but money printer goes brrr.

The first movie was okay... It wasn't the incel rallying movie that I was hoping it'd be. It was too mainstream with not enough emphasis on inceldom...

Blade Runner 2047 was more of an incel film than Joker..... I mean, dude literally had an AI girlfriend, it can't more incel than that...
Everything I post is satire.

Part of the appeal of the first was seeing Arthur as an incel loner being rejected by society and transforming as a result.

Not sure if a buddy-romance musical can match that same quality.

Eh, Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn is going to be hit or miss, no in-between.

I don't think I have ever seen a Lady Gaga movie, nor did I even think she acted - skeptical of her filling the Harley Quinn role.

It would seem less of a bad joke if she decided to go by her real name in the credits rather than Lady Gaga. Even 50 Cent went by Curtis Jackson when he started doing movies.
