How to deal with taking a small profit/loss in options trading

And than looking up the price a week later if I held and I would be up 110%

Have this about three times in a row now
Taking a small profit ~10% two times and a small loss one time

You never look at sold positions later, it's just unnecessary self harm.

I made a Yolo bet in a company in 2021, buying 4 month options, and it was down like 95% and I was down like $80k on my bet. Then I finally recelved the news I was looking for, and all of a sudden I was up like $50k after a couple days. I sold, because I realized I was a lucky fuk and shouldn't have taken on that much risk. If I would have held another 6 weeks until expiration, it would have been worth like $2.5M.

Just set a notification or automatic sell when it reaches a certain point, and don’t look back. Take profit when you can. Don’t sell for a loss unless you lost 97% because it’s never gonna go up 150,000%

Just have a bunch of positions all set for a modest 20-25% increase and sell when it reaches that

A positive trade is never a bad thing. You're learning and as you grow and develop your strategy/trust/experience you will be able to capitalize more on these trades.

a quick 10% is nothing to be upset about......you just need to have realistic goals, stay the course, keep consistent and it will all pay off. Too many people think they're going to be able to retire in a week off of a few good trades when in reality, consistently bringing in a profit, even is small, will pay off in the long run.
