i use to squat low bar with weightlifiting shoes i think they were a 1 inch or 1.5 inch raised heel.
i've now moved to squatting high bar ass to grass barefoot/flat sole and it feels far better.
To be honest my post is biased because i keep seeing people recommending olympic weight lifting shoes when in reality people should be focusing on their mobility instead of using shoes as a band aid
i also tried to post this question on the powerlifting sub on reddit and got insta banned lmao

Wouldnt the elevated heel assist more on High bar than it would on Low bar?
I do the poverty variant of placing plates under my heels & squatting in joggers.
Also why did you Get banned for asking that?

Arbitrary lifts where the point is to reduce the range of motion as much as possible without breaking arbitrary rules in doing so.
They will Also try to convince people that their ego lifting techniques is the only way to Get big disregarding biomechanics completely.
Powerlifting is only a sport in Paralympics for a reason.

I did flat shoes w/ wide stance, but recently switched to oly shoes and close stance to bring up my quads. The stability is nice and it feels great on my legs as a whole
