Are contractors super f*cking busy right now or something?
I had a plumber come out monday evening because I want my whole house repiped from CPVC to PEX, and I still haven't heard anything back. Also sent emails to a couple other via their websites and haven't heard back. Then I have a bigger plumbing company coming out tomorrow for a quote, but they're charging me $60. Or am I just impatient?

My conclusion is that they dont need money. Called 8 contractors for a quote on a staircase, sent measurements and photos, not a single one came to do in person bid. Had one bid ay $35k over text and I told him to go suck on a pig. Had a pipe start leaking, called 4 plumbers, set up two appt, not a single one showed up and would not respond to calls. Fixed it myself. I have no idea whats going on with tradies today.

PPP was the biggest scam ever for contractors.

There is so much work to go around and not enough people
My current company just won two big contracts, already couldn't get enough people for the last one. Unions in my neck of the woods are just now signing off agreements for bigly wage increases over the next 3-5 years, the first in a long time, ironworkers just secured like 13% in wages alone plus bumps in other aspects of the total package.

No clue but like the above poster said I don't think they want money. One of my deals is being held up cause we've been waiting over 2 weeks for a quote from the contractor. Seems like everyone except the contractor wants it to close.
Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; and if it is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.

Most small companies in the trades field can't cope with the demand right now. There's a shortage of workers and people do not want to work and if they do they want to earn almost as much as the fuking owner, they're insane.

Maybe this is my chance to live it.
