Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has defended the man suspected of leaking top-secret Pentagon documents, saying he is "white, male, Christian, and anti-war."

Writing on Twitter, Greene said that this makes Jack Teixeira "an enemy to the Biden regime."

Teixeira, a 21-year-old member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard's 102nd Intelligence Wing, was arrested on Thursday in "connection with an investigation into alleged unauthorized removal, retention, and transmission of classified national defense information," Attorney General Merrick Garland said on Thursday.

Greene said, "He told the truth about troops being on the ground in Ukraine and a lot more.

I agree, with how many of the pieces don't quite fit yet, it's stupid of her to focus on the leaker and try to make any sort of spin about him when what we do know, i.e. the leaks themselves, more than warrant full attention.

Maybe I'm being too cynical, but I'd say that if there was any sort of "trap," she fell right into it by focusing on the leaker because that only helps distract from the contents of the leaks. The leaker could have been a Laotian Scientologist, but that's or the motives are irrelevant compared to what the leaks revealed, which she ostensibly thinks are an actual problem, however she mostly found another new way to make her look like an ass and immediately put people against her - even when it's the sort of matter that should be a bipartisan concern.
